A picketer holding a poster “I demand Ukrainian citizenship” was detained on Red Square.

In Moscow, Andrei Us was detained on Red Square, who was holding a solo picket with a poster "I demand Ukrainian citizenship." He reported this to OVD-Info.

Us specified that the police approached him immediately after the start of the action at 14:40. He was taken to the Kitai-Gorod Police Department.

The detainee is being advised by a senior lawyer at OVD-Info, Nadezhda Kuzina.

16:38 Andrei Us was released from the police with a protocol under the article on violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), Nadezhda Kuzina, a senior lawyer at OVD-Info, reports. The poster was taken from him.

• On November 9 and 10, Andrei Us was already detained on Red Square with a similar poster, then protocols were also drawn up against him under the article on violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
• Participants in various actions are regularly detained on Red Square: eco-activists who wanted to record a video message, participants in single-person pickets with posters against the constitutional reform or in support of protesters in Belarus , and simply pickets with a smiley face or a blank sheet of paper . According to the federal law on rallies, the procedure for holding public events on Red Square is determined personally by the President of the Russian Federation.
