Courts in Moscow fined fans who came to the Moscow Marathon with flags of Belarus

The Moscow City Court upheld a fine of 15 thousand rubles for Anastasia Pikulina in the wake of detention because of the flag of Belarus at the Moscow Marathon on September 20. This was announced by a lawyer from OVD-Info Sergey Telnov, who represented the interests of Pikulina in court.

Pikulina was found guilty under the article on violation of the rules for participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Khamovnichesky court judge Diana Mishchenko awarded a fine of 10 thousand rubles to another marathon fan Olga Druzhaeva. She was also found guilty under the article on violation of the rules for participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Druzhaeva was defended by OVD-Info lawyer Nadezhda Kuzina.

The courts agreed with the version of the police, who drew up the protocols, that the support group at the marathon carried out an uncoordinated rally with the flags of Belarus.
