The Moscow City Court overturned the decision to extend the preventive measure for the “indefinite protest” activist

The Moscow City Court overturned the decision of the Tverskoy District Court to extend the preventive measure until November 8 for Ivan Vorobyevsky, an activist of "indefinite protest". He and two other supporters of the “indefinite term” are being prosecuted in the case of vandalism (part 2 of article 214 of the Criminal Code) because of the action near the building of the Prosecutor General’s Office. This was reported by a lawyer from OVD-Info Sergey Telnov.

The Moscow City Court, canceling the decision, upheld the ban on certain actions by Vorobyevsky. As lawyer Telnov explained, the court ruled to cancel “for technical reasons”: the district court did not consider the petition of another activist’s lawyer to postpone the meeting.

The interests of the defendants in the case are defended by lawyers from OVD-Info Elena Sheremetyeva, Dmitry Zakhvatov and Sergey Telnov.

• Activists of the "indefinite protest" Olga Misik, Ivan Vorobyevsky and Igor Basharimov are accused of vandalism committed by a group of persons (part 2 of article 214 of the Criminal Code) in connection with the action near the Prosecutor General's Office: on the night of August 8, unknown people doused the building of the department with pink paint and hung out a banner .
• On the morning of August 9, came searches to the activists. First, they searched Vorobyevsky's apartment, then Misik's dacha, where Basharimov was also located. The detainees were taken to the Tverskoy police department, interrogated and sent to a temporary detention center. On August 10, the court appointed a ban on certain actions as a measure of restraint for all the defendants in the case.
