The court arrested a Petersburger who held the children hostage

The Kolpinsky District Court arrested Denis Beltyukov for two months, who took his children in hostage. This was reported by the United press service of the vessels of St. Petersburg.

According to investigators, Beltyukov on November 24, at a state of intoxication for four and a half hours, illegally kept 73 six children in an apartment on Proletarskaya Street, threatening them with a knife and an ax.

Beltyukov explained to the court that he had been drinking beer regularly, but he did not drink alcohol for the last five weeks. However, he called his condition “insanity”, which caused the use of pills written to him along with alcohol. Beltyukov pleaded guilty, but clarified that he did not agree with the investigation, since, in his opinion, he could not hold the children - they were simply at home. He also stated that he loves his wife and children and wants to live with them.

Under the arrest of Beltyukov will remain until January 23.

Children taken by Beltyukov hostage are intended to return their mother, Anna Mityanina, an authorized person in St. Petersburg, said . Two of them are hospitalized due to elevated temperature, in one child they found a traumatic brain injury, damage to the nose and abrasion. In addition, the children are exhausted that, according to Mityanina, he speaks of inferior feeding. The Commissioner added that the children were in unsatisfactory sanitary conditions.

Mityanina said that children will be able to return to their mother when fears are lost for their health. The mother of children is now preparing to move to Arkhangelsk with them. However, before that, experts will conduct an examination, draw up a psychological portrait of a woman and determine her social status to understand whether she can fulfill parental duties.
