In Primorye, the prosecutor's office opened 161 administrative cases due to poor snow removal after the cyclone

The Primorsky Territory prosecutor's office opened 161 administrative cases due to violations in eliminating the consequences of a cyclone with freezing rain that hit the region on November 18. This is reported on the department's website.

The heads of management companies, including organizations in Vladivostok, Artem and Arsenyev, were given about 47 warnings and 224 representations were made for not removing snow and ice from roofs and adjacent areas.

The mayor of Vladivostok, Oleg Gumenyuk, received the proposal due to the lack of special equipment for clearing snow in the city. An administrative case was opened against the head of the department of the Vladivostok administration, who is responsible for monitoring and organizing the clearing of roads from ice, under Part 1 of Article 12.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure to comply with requirements for ensuring road safety during road maintenance). If the city leadership does not take measures to eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation in the near future, the prosecutor's office intends to go to court.

Until now, about 77 thousand people in Primorye remain without electricity, 520 consumers without heat, and about 1.5 thousand without water, the prosecutor’s office said. More than 130 food and heating points were deployed, which received almost 20 thousand people.

Since November 8, there has been no power supply on Russky Island, and the bridge connecting the island to the mainland has been closed due to icing. The regional government reported that industrial climbers are cleaning the cables of the bridge, and traffic will probably resume on November 27.

Hospitals in Primorye are operating as usual, except for four institutions located in the Pervomaisky district of Vladivostok, the prosecutor’s office added. They were connected to backup power sources, and water and hot meals were supplied.

RusHydro stated that the power supply to Vladivostok has been fully restored, RIA Novosti writes .

As TASS reports , the Russian government will provide financial and material assistance in the amount of almost 700 million rubles to the Primorsky Territory.
