On November 25, the laureates of the X Prize Yegor Gaidar were announced at the online ceremony.

According to the Yegor Gaidar Foundation , the award is awarded in three nominations.

In the nomination “For an outstanding contribution to the field of economics”, the laureates are named the professor, the rector of the Russian Economic School Ruben Yenikolopov and the professor, the supervisor of the faculty of economic sciences of the Higher School of Economics, Konstantin Sonin .

In the nomination “For an outstanding contribution in the field of history”, the Prize was awarded the head of the archive of the International Memorial Alena Kozlova , the keeper of the archive of the International Memorial Irina Ostrovskaya and the scientific employee of the International Memorial Alexander Shcherbakov for the preparation and publication of the book “On the heart, all sorrows fell. The fate of the peasants in the XX century. Memories ” (M., 2019).

In the nomination “For actions contributing to the formation of civil society”, the winner was the Russian entrepreneur, the founder of the mobile communications operator of Vimpelcom, the philanthropist, founder of the Dynasty Foundation, the founder of the Enlightener Award Dmitry Zimin .

The Yegor Gaidar prize was established by the Yegor Gaidar Foundation in 2010 and is awarded annually in order to note individual achievements in the field of history, economics, contribution to the formation of civil society and the development of international humanitarian ties with Russia.
