The host of the Hour of Court program was sentenced to probation in a fraud case.

The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow sentenced Elena Dmitrieva, presenter of the Hour of Court program, to two years probation in the case of fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). this TASS reports with reference to court press secretary Valentina Norbakh.

Dmitrieva was also given a two-year probationary period.

As TASS notes, citing a source in law enforcement agencies, the case was opened because of the presenter’s promise to provide legal assistance to a businessman who had a conflict with a business partner.

Businessman Yuri Plotnikov was also convicted in the case and sentenced to four years in prison.

Baza reported that Elena Dmitrieva was accused of extorting 80 million rubles from entrepreneur Alexander Bobovnikov - he had quarreled with business partner Oleg Plotnikov. According to the publication, Plotnikov believed that he had lost 80 million rubles after the company was closed, and demanded this money from Bobovnikov.

In addition, he wrote a statement against a former colleague about the theft of a Mercedes. According to Moskovsky Komsomolets, when the men started the business, they “sealed the deal by purchasing two Mercedes on credit.” Both were issued to Plotnikov. The police opened a criminal case of theft, the newspaper claims.

Baza wrote that Dmitrieva contacted Bobovnikov, assured that she was monitoring the work of investigators in the case and recommended that he pay 80 million rubles. The businessman contacted the FSB . Moskovsky Komsomolets claims that the presenter and Plotnikov were detained during the transfer of money.

Elena Dmitrieva worked as the head of the legal directorate of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, advisors to the head of the TVC television channel, and hosted the programs “Hour of Judgment” and “Hour of Judgment. Family Matters" on REN-TV, "Trust" and "Mir" channels.
