An architect was detained in Sochi due to posts on social networks

Architect Mikhail Kalyamin was detained in Sochi on November 24. His relatives associate the detention with his publications on the Internet. His acquaintance Dmitry Dorovskikh reported this to OVD-Info.

According to the Dorovskikhs, on September 29, Kalyamin’s house was searched; no documents were presented to him, but his computer was confiscated because of the publications.

On November 4, Kalyamin told an acquaintance that he was summoned for a conversation at the FSB and they took explanations from him regarding the publications. On November 24, he managed to report that security forces had come to his home, and did not contact him again.

It is unknown what exactly the man is suspected of.

It is likely that Kalyamin is charged with an extremist article. Rosfinmonitoring included him in the list of persons, according to the state, involved in extremist activities.
