The editor-in-chief of “Takih Dela” Anastasia Lotareva had her fine of 200 thousand rubles for a picket in support of journalist Ilya Azar canceled

The Moscow City Court overturned a fine of 200 thousand rubles to the editor-in-chief of “Takih Dela” Anastasia Lotareva for a single picket in support of journalist and municipal deputy Khamovnikov Ilya Azar. This was reported by OVD-Info with reference to lawyer Mikhail Biryukov.

At the end of August, the Tverskoy District Court found Lotareva guilty of repeated violation of the rules of the rally (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). Previously, the court returned the materials to the police to correct errors.

The journalist was detained on May 28, when she went to the building of the main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Petrovka with a poster “Release Ilya Azar without any bazaar.”

On that day, Azar was arrested for 15 days for going out to Petrovka with a picket in support of the creator of the “Police Ombudsman” public page, Vladimir Vorontsov.

Together with Lotareva, seven more were detained at the pickets. After this, for several weeks there were picket lines against the arrest of Azar and the detention of participants in single pickets. Participants were detained en masse, they were given administrative arrests and fines .
