The Lefortovo court of Moscow granted the application of the investigation and extended until March 7 an arrest to the adviser to the head of Roscosmos, former journalist Ivan Safronov, Kommersant writes. The court hearing was held closed. They did not let those who do not have a summons, it was also announced that no one was “accredited from media representatives.”
“The journalists were not allowed, neither in accreditation, no way. Relatives, I didn’t let me in my sister,” the girl Ivan Safronova Ksenia Mironova told the Rain television channel. According to her, the bailiffs explained this with quarantine measures.
After that, Mironova called the Commissioner for Human Rights in Moscow Tatyana Poztyeva - in her apparatus replied that this was the decision of the judge. According to Kommersant, later Mironov and Safonov’s sister, Irina was allowed to announce the decision.
At the meeting, the defense introduced 388 personal guarantees for Safronov, including from the editor -in -chief of Kommersant, Vladimir Zhelonkin, the chief editor of the Vedomosti Andrei Shmarov, the chief editor of Medusa Ivan Kolpakov, the chief editor of the Novaya Gazeta Dmitry Muratov, the actress, the co -founder of the charity foundation “Give Life” Chulpan Khamatova, The founder of the Hospital Charitable Fund "Vera" Nyuta Federmeser, the head of the municipal district of Krasnoselsky Ilya Yashin.
Ivan Safronov has been under arrest for more than three months. Neither the specific actions, sane, are still known to the former journalist, or evidence of his guilt, neither the public nor lawyers. The case is classified, all processes are held in a closed order. It is only known that Safronov allegedly transmitted some secret information to Czech intelligence related to US intelligence.
In October, it became known that the “recruiter” appeared in the case file - it was impossible to disclose his name to lawyers, but, according to the media, this is Safronov’s friend from the Czech Republic Martin Larish , also a former journalist. According to investigators, he recruited the Russian in 2012 "for unspoken cooperation with the Czech special service - the department for relations with abroad and information, which, in turn, is controlled by the US intelligence services." Larish himself categorically rejects involvement in any special services.
In October, Safronov asked the FSB to allow him to congratulate his mother on his birthday, but the investigator did not allow him to do this, referring to the fact that such a conversation could be used for a hidden exchange of information and "fulfilling the intelligence tasks of a foreign intelligence service directed against security", since the mother of Safronova is a witness in the criminal case.
The initiative group in support of Safronov, which includes his friends, relatives and colleagues, considered the FSB actions cruel and absurd, and launched an online flash mob in support of the journalist.
