The Swiss Robot Anymal C has bathed in the lake (video)

The Swiss company Anybotics published a small video on its YouTube channel, demonstrating the possibilities of Anymal C four-legged robot presented last year.

The new video shows that the robot is reliably protected from the water - Anymal C enters the lake and confidently moves along the bottom, plunging into the water almost completely. Then the robot left the lake and reached the charging station, and after charging went again "swim".

Recall, Anymal C is a commercial version of the Anymal robot. He has a full -fledged case, navigation sensors, including Lidar in the upper part of the case and the depth chamber installed on each side. The robot is also equipped with two conventional cameras that translate the image to the operator’s remote control.

The robot, the mass of which is 50 kilograms, can carry 10 kilograms of additional cargo, and its speed can reach one meter per second. Also, the robot is able to go along an inclined surface with a slope of up to 20 degrees and overcome stairs with a slope of up to 45 degrees. Anymal autonomous operation time is up to four hours.

Last year, the company began receiving orders on Anymal C. At the same time, the price of the robot is still not disclosed - those who wish to purchase it need to leave an application on the Anybotics website. Anymal C is intended for enterprises and other facilities where the robot will be able to carry out the rounds and inspections of equipment for faults. A similar robot called Spot for $ 74.5 thousand is sold by Boston Dynamics, but Spot, apparently, is not so protected from water.
