The coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Murmansk was fined for a peaceful walk

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Murmansk fined the coordinator of the headquarters in Murmansk, Violetta Grudina, 20,000 rubles for a peaceful march on August 1. Grudina herself reported this to the OVD-Info hotline. The court issued a ruling on November 11, but the activist received it only now and, according to her, was not notified of the court session.

On August 1, several dozen activists, including Grudin, walked through the center of Murmansk to the building of the government of the Murmansk region, while the protesters did not have posters with them. The purpose of the walk was to support the protesters of Khabarovsk. Grudina emphasizes that during the walk she repeatedly asked the police officers present if there were any violations on the part of the walk participants, and the police had no complaints.

The fine was imposed on the activist under the article on holding a rally without notifying the authorities (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), while earlier the court twice returned the materials on the case to the police due to numerous violations in the preparation of documents.

• On August 1, actions of solidarity with the Khabarovsk Territory were held in dozens of cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, and many cities in Siberia and the Far East. • Since July 11, residents of the Khabarovsk Territory have been holding rallies in support of Governor Sergei Furgal, who was arrested on suspicion of organizing murders. The procession on July 11 through the streets of Khabarovsk to the building of the regional government, according to various estimates, the action gathered from 5 to 35 thousand people. The police did not interfere with the protesters, there were no arrests.
• The current governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal, was detained on July 9 by FSB officers on suspicion of involvement in a number of contract killings. He was taken to Moscow, where, by decision of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow, he was placed in custody until September 9. On July 20, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the resignation of Furgal from the post of governor and appointed Mikhail Degtyarev, Furgal's fellow party member in the LDPR, to this post, reported Mediazona . In November, Furgal’s arrest was extended until March 2021, the meeting was held behind closed doors.
