In Vladivostok, almost two weeks can not cope with the consequences of ice rain. Some people were cut off from the city - without electricity and almost without products

Almost two weeks ago - on the night of November 19 - ice rain passed in the Primorsky Territory. Tens of thousands of inhabitants were left without electricity and heating, one person died. The consequences have not yet been eliminated - the bridge to the island of Russian has not been opened, and some islands remained and are completely cut off from civilization. At the request of Medusa, a journalist from Vladivostok, Ekaterina Tkachenko, tells how the city lives now.

Ice rain, which left tens of thousands of residents of Vladivostok without light, water and heat, took place on the night of November 19. The work of the city administration, which has not yet fully coped with its consequences, has already checked the prosecutor's office of Vladivostok. And she came to the conclusion: the city was not “properly” ready for an emergency, officials acted in disagreement, and the “process of connecting houses to communal resources” was delayed.

In the mainland of the city, the most problems are nevertheless eliminated, although interruptions in the Internet and connection continue. But even the residents of the most injured Pervomaisky district were given electricity-due to the fall of two supports of power lines, people spent more than a week without light. On December 2 and 3, in the region, shutdowns were planned again so that power engineers could replace temporary supports and restore the normal power supply scheme.

In other areas, the situation is better, but work continues. For example, public utilities continue to clean the icy baths of the Golden Bridge connecting the center of Vladivostok and Cape Churkin. So that the ice falling from the cable does not damage the cars and does not injure pedestrians, regularly close the main street of the city - Svetlanskaya (part of it passes under the bridge). Due to the ceilings and unpeeled roads, the city is in traffic jams from morning to evening, and residents of the surrounding houses complain that local authorities do not help-the ice from the bridge still falls on their roofs.

The bridge to the island of Russian cannot open ten days. Some of the villages are de -energized

On Saturday morning, on November 21, due to icy Vant, the Russian bridge connecting the mainland part of Vladivostok with the island of Russian was closed. There are the Far Eastern Federal University and several villages in which about four thousand people live. After the storm, the city administration regularly promised to open the bridge, but all the time shifted the deadlines. As a result, the bridge is still blocked, and the work on it continues - by the morning of December 1, climbers removed ice by only 118 out of 168 want.

When the bridge is opened, it is still unknown. After the icy rain, it turned out that the French Freyssinet specialists, which mounted the battles, did not provide for the situation with icing - although the company also works in Scandinavian countries with cold climate. Now they must come to Vladivostok again, analyze how critical the loads on the support of the bridge are, and offer a decision on how to exclude the appearance of such ice on the dunes. And also to help develop technology, as in the future it will be possible to clean the battles faster.

In the meantime, the island with the mainland of the city connects with steam - fuel and special equipment are brought to Russian, local residents, students and teachers of the FEFU go from the island to the mainland. In the near future, passengers should also begin to carry on four landing boats of the Pacific Fleet, which at a time can transport up to 150 passengers. On December 1, the boats have already made several trial flights, their schedule is still being formed. Residents in social networks are already sharing their impressions of trips: "Solar are very strongly stinking with exhausts, so asthmatists will have a hard time."

In most villages on the island, electricity was returned, but at least four still remain without light. Among them, the channel and Pospelovo - although ferries from the mainland, as well as remote villages of the governor and Rynda, are just coming to them.

A resident of Russian island Denis Yasinkov told Medusa that the rest of the villages received stably working electricity only two days ago, when the governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako arrived at the island. According to Yasinkov, the governor ordered the public utilities “not to sleep until the light appeared” - as a result, the electricians worked even at night in the light of lanterns.

Then, generators with stickers of the Ministry of Emergencies on the corps were brought to the island - the administration issued their local residents, in advance, compiling lists of those in need. According to Yasinkov, the generators were not in the best condition: "Somewhere the hose is torn, somewhere the lousy gasoline is flooded, somewhere it turned hard, but, as they say, they do not look at the giving horse in the teeth."

Yasinkov says that now the island is actually built by power networks: before ice rain and accidents, the complaints of local residents about failures were left unattended. “This disaster - there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped - revealed a big problem,” he emphasizes.

The Government of the Primorsky Territory notes that not only the consequences of ice rain, but also some local residents, are inquisitive to completely return the electricity to Russian: according to officials, the “unknown attacker” cut down part of the cable on the line that feeds the villages. Electricians plan to eliminate the accident today, December 1.

So far, residents of de -energized villages are fed by three field kitchens working on the island. At the same time, products from the large Far Eastern network of the Remi supermarkets are delivered to the University campus at the request of students, and the Samburi network put a pavilion here for the sale of hot meals. McDonald's, which is preparing to open the first restaurants in Vladivostok, also decided to feed the inhabitants of the island - the network delivered a bourgeois batch to the village of Pospelovo.

The situation is worse on the island of Popov, on which more than a thousand people live - he is located behind the Russians, the islands shares Stark Strait. Ice rain so badly damaged the power lines on the island of Popov that they are not subject to restoration. There is still no electricity on a significant part of the island. The prosecutor's office of Vladivostok has already stated that it was guilty of this, including the leadership of the city, which for a long time did not update the infrastructure.

Oksana matches, whose family lives on the island in the summer, told Medusa that now her relatives are on the mainland. In winter, people are afraid to go to the island: you can get stuck on it due to weather conditions, do not have time to return to the city and lose their jobs. According to Oksana, now all the inhabitants, who were in a difficult situation, have parted in neighbors, relatives and acquaintances. “In the best position, those who have a stove that can be drowned, on which you can cook food, warm water,” she says.

A resident of the island of Natalia (the name changed at her request) in a conversation with Medusa clarifies that heating to the houses was given a day and a half after ice rain. At the same time, there is still no light in Natalia’s house, and when they give it, it is unknown.

“On the eighth or nine day [after turning off the electricity] they began to give out humanitarian aid-four gas cans and four candles, I don’t know how to distribute, a family or apartment to a family. Gas tiles, maybe they gave someone-I found friends, but only after ten days. Someone bred a fire in the yard to cook something. Someone saved the generators, ”says Natalia.

According to the inhabitants of the island, local electricians who work for days work on the restoration of electricity. But in conversations with Medusa, the locals say that the ferry, which brought special equipment for work, came to the island only a week after the accident.

Residents themselves can also not get out of the island: no one organized additional boats for them, following the example of the Russian Island. The only ferry that usually goes to Popov in the fall is now thrown to the aid of Russian residents. Locals believe that they remained “abandoned and forgotten” after the accident. “People on some private boats are now getting, but I can’t even imagine how much they pay for this,” one of the residents explains.

A resident of the island of Natalya notes that due to the lack of ferry in stores on Popov there are almost no products. Difficulties and with medicine: the only hospital is closed for repairs. As a result, in two weeks, three inhabitants were hospitalized without contact with the mainland: behind the two to the island, he sailed urgently (he did not take ordinary passengers), a helicopter of sanitary aircraft flew another way.

There is no constant mobile communications. “The situation of us, of course, threw us a couple of centuries ago [or] in the ice age. Funny, on the one hand, but wildly scary, ”says Natalia. It is planned that electricity in all residential buildings on the island of Popov will be restored by December 3.

But on December 7, warming and rain are expected in Vladivostok, and then a new cooling. It was such a combination that led to ice rain on November 19. The head of the Primorsky Hydrometeorological Center Boris Kubai, commenting on the probability of a repetition of the situation, said that the probability of this is “almost zero”. Last time, local weather forecasters warned the residents about the icy rain only a few hours before it began.
