Chubais will resign as head of Rusnano

Anatoly Chubais, who headed Rusnano, will leave his post. This was reported to RBC by a source close to the federal authorities, and confirmed by an unnamed friend of Kulikov.

According to the publication’s interlocutor close to the government, President Vladimir Putin offered Chubais’s place to the first deputy chairman of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission and former top manager of Rostec Sergei Kulikov.

“Sergey Aleksandrovich, you know that you are being offered to head one of our largest development structures, Rusnano. Without any exaggeration, this is one of the key areas of development not only for Russia, but also for the entire world economy,” Interfax reports Putin’s words during a video conference with Kulikov.

At the end of November, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the transfer of the company to the management of VEB. Rusnano was founded in 2007, and since then it has been headed by Chubais for 12 years.
