The main freelance children's specialist anesthesiologist-resuscitator of the Russian Ministry of Health Sergey Stepanenko said that in court they did not take into account that the child was born with extremely low body weight and with transcendental values of anemia.
"The perverted ideas of experts in relation to the original state and the ability to somehow influence the state of the child in introduced magnesies leave many questions. In six hours [after the birth of a child], practically nothing is done to stabilize the condition of the patient. The position of doctors who rendered in childbirth does not withstand criticism. The court rejected the participation of Nikolai Volodin in the hearing as an expert. The court also refused to listen to the expert opinion of the main freelance neonatologist of the Central Federal District Dmitry Degtyarev and a toxicologist Galina Sukhodolova.
In their opinion, the child had no signs of magnesium poisoning. According to investigators, an anesthetist-anesthetist Sushkevich introduced a fatal dose of magnesium to the child, which is why he died.
“Today there is no evidence that the child died of the introduction of magnesium. I have great doubts that a neonatologist can kill a child,” Degtyarev said. “We have a conclusion of the results of the autopsy. And what we see: he has a very low hemoglobin. We see that someone’s crazy idea was born at first. That was introduced by magnesium, and all the rest was introduced”.
Volodin emphasized that he was outraged that the investigation "completely plunged" into the opinion of the chief neonatologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia Dmitry Ivanov.
"I am shocked that Dmitry Olegovich does not want to delve into a position. Which is settled by the entire medical community of neonatologists. It is one thing to reason, and it is another matter to analyze objective documents. His position is simply outraged," said Volodin.
