The Perm court fined the National Bolsheviks for a rally with the “Revolution” banner

The Leninsky District Court of Perm imposed a fine of 10 thousand rubles on the National Bolshevik Kirill Imashev due to the action with the banner “Revolution”, which local activists of “The Other Russia of E.V. Limonov” held on November 7. Elena Pershakova, a lawyer at the Public Verdict Foundation, reported this to OVD-Info.

Imashev was found guilty under the article on violating the rules of participation in the action (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The lawyer clarified that she has not yet received all the documents and does not know how the court explained its decision. Elena Pershakova intends to appeal the fine.

On November 7, Perm National Bolsheviks Kirill Imashev, Ivan Yakovlev and Daniil Masalkin stretched out the “Revolution” banner near the “Power” art object on the esplanade near the Legislative Assembly and lit a fire. The square was cordoned off by police and the protesters were detained. On November 27, Masalkin was sentenced to 20 hours of mandatory work. Yakovlev's case has not yet been considered.

• November 7 is the anniversary of the October Revolution. On this date, representatives of various political views organize actions, both pro- and anti-communist.

• “The Other Russia” is an unregistered party founded in the summer of 2010 by members of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP), which was banned in Russia in 2007. Members of the party are called “National Bolsheviks” or “Limonovites” (named after the party’s founder, Eduard Limonov). At the end of September, the party announced its self-dissolution and re-establishment under the name “The Other Russia of E. V. Limonov.”
