The court in Tver extended the preventive measure for a participant in the action against the Platon system

The Proletarsky District Court of Tver extended the measure of restraint for truck driver Mikhail Vedrov, who is accused under the article on the use of violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). Vedrov was kept under house arrest until January 8, 2021. This was reported by a lawyer from OVD-Info Sergey Telnov.

The lawyer quoted verbatim a fragment of the prosecutor's petition to extend the period of house arrest. “The presence of the accused Vedrov M.E. the intention and ability to continue to engage in criminal activity is confirmed by the suppression of criminal activity only after the intervention of law enforcement agencies, and not in connection with his appearance with a statement about a crime committed, ”this is how the law enforcement officer tried to argue before the court the need to extend the preventive measure.

Telnov also found information about new witnesses in the Vedrov case in the resolution on the extension. “Familiarization with the case is over, but the witnesses come from somewhere. And based on the testimony of these “witnesses”, the judge concludes that there are “reasonable grounds for concluding that the accusation of Vedrov M.E. is justified,” the lawyer explained.
