Since 1993, the British Literary Journal of Literary Review has been awarding the Bad Sex In Fiction Awards for the worst description of sex in the literature. But in 2020, you can forget about the award-alas, the year turned out to be such that the judges refused to arrange a competition. They explained their decision by the fact that there is too much bad around "and so much", so there is nothing to torment readers. Plus, during the pandemic, publishers have released fewer books, which means the choice of literature with a description of sex is less than usual.
However, the award will still be resumed in 2021. Judges are already in anticipation: in their opinion, thanks to quarantine, many new sexual practices appeared, including virtual correspondence sex. So, next year it is worth waiting for more masterpieces.
In the meantime, you can re -read selected fragments from the work of the nominees of past years!
