The bars of St. Petersburg opposed Covid restrictions-this was already called "a campaign of civil disobedience." Who is behind her and what is happening at all?

On December 4, the “Resistance Map” project appeared in St. Petersburg. It unites dozens of bars and restaurants that intend to continue work on the New Year holidays. That is, when, by decision of the city authorities, the work of institutions should be limited . Namely, bars and restaurants will not be able to work after seven in the evening (and from December 30 to January 3 they must be closed).

The creator of “Resistance Maps” is entrepreneur Alexander Konovalov. It is called the curator of illegal trade in St. Petersburg. The project’s website states that if the establishments observe restrictive measures introduced by the authorities, this will lead to the closure of up to five thousand enterprises. And about one hundred thousand people will remain without work. The business ombudsman Boris Titov called the project and the conflict of officials with the entrepreneurs “Civil Disobility Campaign” demonstrated by him.

The last restrictions were introduced on December 7, when Governor Alexander Beglov stated that the situation with the coronavirus in the city is close to the “red line”, behind which is “the abolition of planned medical care in hospitals and the transfer of all clinics to the infectious regime”. In addition, Beglov called on residents of other regions not to come to St. Petersburg for the winter holidays.

According to official figures , now there are more than 60 thousand cases of coronavirus in the city. Daily growth - more than three thousand cases.
