Quarantine is introduced until January 24. It provides for, among other things, a ban on the work of cinemas, gyms, shopping centers, non-food stores, as well as cafes and restaurants, with the exception of take-out.

All educational institutions will go on vacation, while “any entertainment, advertising, sports, cultural, public events are prohibited for the duration of the quarantine,” Shmyhal said.

Grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and hotels will not stop working. In addition, public transport will operate.
