Boeing 737 MAX makes first flight after 1.5 year grounding

Brazilian low-cost carrier Gol Linhas Aereas has become the first airline to resume Boeing 737 MAX flights , Business Insider (BI) reports.

The airline operated a flight from Sao Paulo to Porto Alegre in southern Brazil.

According to AFP, whose employees were on board, 88% of the seats on the flight were sold (the plane can hold 186 passengers). The crew did not mention that this was the first commercial flight of the 737 MAX after the ban.

Most passengers, as the agency notes, did not pay attention to the model of the plane.

According to Flightradar 24 data, the airliner made several flights during the week leading up to December 9. These were likely test flights.
