Doping tests from the Winter Olympics in Sochi decided to double-check once again

On behalf of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Doping Test Agency (ITA) announced the launch of a program for re-analysis of doping tests collected during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, in order to fully complete the process of rechecking to the 2022 games in Beijing.

"In cooperation with an accredited by the World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA) with a laboratory in the Swiss Lausanne, selected samples should be investigated until mid -2021. Any anti -doping rules arising from this violation will be investigated and persecuted in court," the report said.

According to the INSIDETHEGAMS portal, ITU intends to expand the program of re -analysis for all sports and countries that took part in the competitions, and as the first step will be repeated testing more than half of the total number of gathered samples.
