The author of the web series about Putin's trial has his arrest extended

The Central District Military Court extended the arrest of Karim Yamadayev, the author of the web series about the trial of Putin “Judge Gramm.” This is reported by the telegram channel of Yamadayev’s support group.

The court decided to leave Yamadayev in pre-trial detention for another three months. The defense asked to transfer him to house arrest.

The investigation charges Yamadayev with articles on calls for terrorism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) and insulting a government official (Article 319 of the Criminal Code).

• Karim Yamadayev was detained on January 11. On the same day, he had a meeting on the measures of suppression, at which he was taken into custody, the period of arrest was successively extended . On January 13, three more peoplewere detained on charges of involvement in the filming of the series.
• Judge Gramm is a web series that plays out the trial of Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov and Igor Sechin. Before the “trial” begins, a disclaimer warns that the authors do not intend to promote violence or incite hatred, and all similarities with real persons or names are coincidental.
• Civil activists created a website dedicated to the Yamadayev case and launched a campaign in support of it.
