
The governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov announced the possibility of mitigating restrictive measures when improving the epidemic situation. The press service of Smolny writes about this.
According to Beglov, if the number of sick in St. Petersburg begins to decline, then the authorities are ready to soften restrictive measures. At the same time, the governor did not exclude that in case of deterioration, measures may be strengthened.
To what level should the daily increase in new cases of Covid-19 decrease, Beglov did not specify. The last two weeks in the city have been revealed about 3700 new cases of disease per day. The governor noted that "bed capacities are at the limit", and doctors work for wear.
The chief sanitary doctor of Russia Anna Popova said that the restrictions taken in St. Petersburg are “absolutely adequate today's situation”. She stated that the situation in St. Petersburg is controlled. “For the second week, the incidence rate in the city has been stabilized. But it is necessary that in the future it decreases.
