Lev Shcheglov died


In the 75th year of life, a psychotherapist, one of the leading sexologists in Russia, rector of the Institute of Psychology and Sexology (St. Petersburg), Lev Shcheglov, died. This was reported in his official group on VKontakte.

A friend of the medic, deputy Zaksa Boris Vishnevsky, said that Shcheglov spent more than a month in the 122nd hospital due to infection with coronavirus. A week ago, he was transferred to the Ivl apparatus. Scheglov’s death was reported on Friday evening, December 11.

Shcheglov was known for the television program “Ask Dr. Shcheglov”. He is a doctor of medical sciences, professor, was one of the leading Russian sexologists, the rector of the Institute of Psychology and Sexology, as well as one of the leaders of the National Institute of Sexology. Since the 1990s, he was engaged in the popularization of sexual education in Russia.
