In Moscow, at the 77th year of his life, the announcer of protocol events of the President of the Russian Federation Evgeny Khoroshevtsev died, Interfax reports.

"Evgeny Alexandrovich was a People's Artist of Russia," the voice of the Kremlin. "It was his voice that everyone heard in the comments at the parade, at all solemn events with the participation of the head of state," said Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Russian President.

Peskov recalled that Khoroshevtsev was a student of Yuri Levitan. As the press secretary noted, Putin has already expressed condolences to the artist's relatives and friends.

Khoroshevtsev was born on July 23, 1944 in Moscow. Since 1968, he worked as an announcer on the All -Union Radio, together with Yuri Levitan he led the festive demonstrations on May 1 and November 7. In 2000, Khoroshevtsev became the announcer of the protocol events of the President of Russia. Since 2007, he was the announcer of the Victory Parades on Red Square.
