The Ministry of Justice arranged an audit to the Center "Violence.no" because of anonymous

An anonymous denunciation was the reason for organizing a large -scale audit of the Violence.net Center by the Ministry of Justice. This public organization helps victims of domestic violence.

On December 2, the center received a notice of an unscheduled inspection of the Ministry of Justice, writes Kommersant with reference to the co -founder of the center Anna Rivina. Before that, the department received a statement from a certain Trubetskoy, who refused to disclose his personal data.

By December 14, Violence.net had to prepare reports over the past 2.5 years - so much the center exists as a legal entity. The Ministry of Justice requested all the documents related to financial activities, public events, references to the media, all the agreements of the center with partners, and intracreuline documents. According to the financial director of the organization Alexander Gurov, the representative of the Ministry of Justice promised to show the statement that the audit was initiated, but did not do it.

“It seems that the employees (the Ministry of Justice. - Approx. Kommersant ) did not have time to prepare him, come up with what to write there,” Anna Rivina suggested on her Facebook page .

The Ministry of Justice reported Kommersant that the center did not apply for the inclusion of the organization in the register of foreign agents, and this was the reason for the audit.

On December 3, the prosecutor's office came to the Memorial human rights center with a verification of the requirements of the Law on NGOs, and on December 11, the Ministry of Justice drew up a protocol on violation of the law on foreign agents to the socio-political organization of the Voters League. The violation consisted in the fact that the organization did not apply for entering into the register of foreign agents voluntarily.

Earlier, the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs made a decision on the expulsion of human rights activist and US citizen Vanessa Kogan. In Russia, she has been living for eleven years, married to a citizen of the Russian Federation, two of their children were born here. Vanessa Kogan headed the NPO "Legal Initiative". Like the Center for Violence.net, the organization deals with the problems of domestic violence, the protection of the rights of women and children, and also helps victims of torture and armed conflicts. On December 11, the ECHR made an urgent decision to suspend the extension of the human rights activist.
