
The Tver District Court of Moscow set 150 thousand rubles of a fine of a civil activist Elena Morgunova because of the participation in a series of single pickets in support of the defendants in the “Board of federal significance”. In court, the activist was represented by a lawyer of the OTS-Info Ekaterina Selezneva.
Morgunov was found guilty under the article on a repeated violation of the rules of participation in public events (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The court refused to call the police officers who detained Morgunov at the request of the defender, but introduced the detention to the case. A series of single pickets, due to which Morgunov was detained, took place on November 1 near the building of the Prosecutor General in Moscow. In total, four people were detained at that time, who held single pickets in turn. One of them, the journalist of the newspaper "For Human Rights" Dmitry Ivanov, was detained during the shooting of the actions of the police.
Three detainees on the same day were released with obligations about the turnout to the department, and two protocols on arrest articles were drawn up on Ivanov. He spent the night in the police department.
