Leningrad region: The case of the deprivation of the freedom of the disabled person has been initiated

In the Leningrad Region, a criminal case was instituted on illegal deprivation of human freedom with disabilities. This was reported by the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

The day before, the police found in one of the apartments in the village of New Devyatkino a man without legs, who said that he was a former military farmer from Nizhny Novgorod. According to him, he was drunk with alcohol, forcibly took him to the Leningrad region, where they forced to engage in begging.

According to the investigation, the man was illegally held in the apartment since August. He is not the only victim. The location of the second person, who was also in this apartment, is clarified.
