The Human Rights Center "Memorial" considers the criminal case against the former head of the headquarters of Navalny in Arkhangelsk Andrei Borovikov politically motivated. Borovikov is accused of spreading pornography due to the publication of the video of the Rammstein group for the song "Pussy" on the VKontakte social network in 2014. Borovikov told about this on his page on VKontakte.
Human rights activists believe that Borovikov’s case is "illegally and clearly contradicts the principles of law." The pursuit of the activist "has no purpose for the declared goal of protecting public morality," the statement said.
“There is no reason to say that the clip was perceived by Borovikov not as a common phenomenon of pop culture, but as a certain forbidden“ pornography ”that Borovikov had intent to spread pornographic materials,” the human rights activists write, demanding to close the criminal case against the activist.
