Special Corps of "New": two weeks after vaccination, I have an prohibitive amount of antibodies to coronavirus

More than a million people read online about my well -being after vaccination from coronavirus. Let me remind you briefly: I grabbed the "satellite V" December 6 and the next day I felt weakness, headache, low temperature (37 ° C). The fact that these "side effects" are possible were warned by the brochure nurse.

The headache was removed by Nurofen, and weakness - passed by the evening of the same day. Even then, I wrote: “A day of relatively bad well -being for the sake of protection from coronavirus is an acceptable price for me. Now the main thing is to appear antibodies. ”

And they really appeared.

On December 15, I passed the test in one of the largest private network laboratories in Russia. Blood from the vein. The results are now lying in front of me.

• IGM antibodies , which indicate a clash of the body with the causative agent of the infection (the virus or vaccine itself), are present;

• IGG antibodies indicating the formation of sustainable immunity. Not just present: their number is 30 (!) Times higher than the minimum necessary . So that the doctor says: “You have antibodies,” the concentration of IgG should be 13 relative units per milliliter of blood (oh/ml). I have more than 400.

Immediately after vaccination, I pointed out the error in my experiment: I did not measure the level of antibodies before vaccination.

The doctor, who conducted a preliminary examination, asked if I was ill with SARS, and did I feel the symptoms of the disease in the last month before vaccination. He did not hurt and did not feel. November tests for coronavirus (I pass them every month) also showed the lack of infection. But, since there is still an error, it became fundamentally important for me to answer the question: where does the antibodies come from?

• Could such an amount of IgG not appear because of the vaccine, but, for example, because of the asymptomatic coronavirus?

• And if I had antibodies before vaccination, should the vaccine increase their number, giving additional protection?

In the laboratory in which I handed over the test for antibodies, they answered me briefly, but confidently: "The vaccine should have just such an action."

A little more restrained about the reasons was the epidemiologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences Vasily Vlasov .

- Such high indicators can really be the result of the introduction of the vaccine. Even despite the fact that a little more than a week has passed. You can find out the origin of antibodies, but for this you will have to carry out rather complex analyzes. Therefore, it is important to understand here: in general, it is believed that if a person is ill asymptomatic or in a mild form, then he should have less antibodies, and if it is hard - more. This is a common pattern. But it is not always manifested at an individual level.

Simply put, I can be an exception, and the colossal amount of antibodies was developed after the asymptomatic coronavirus.

The epidemiologist Vlasov indicates: to many categorical statements about the treatment of infections, including coronavirus, in fact, you need to add “but”.

- Antibodies indicate the presence of immunity, but they are not identical to the immunity. If there is no antibody, this does not mean that there is no immunity. Immunity can remain after their disappearance. If there are antibodies, this suggests that immunity is probably also.

“But even a large number of antibodies is not a guarantee that you will not become infected.”

- And if I was ill, I had antibodies, and then they introduced me a vaccine - should their number increase? - I ask the doctor .

- Unknown. In theory - yes. But in practice, this issue, as far as I know, was not studied.

The medical director of Lahta Clinic Nikita Zhukov , in a conversation with me, noted that, in his opinion, such a high level of antibodies for the second week after vaccination most likely indicates asymptomatic coronavirus.

- We do not know what level of antibodies can be in asymptomatic, because they are not examined. But the vaccine - definitely had to cause an immune response and increase the number of antibodies. Another thing is that you had to begin to appear with you.

The conclusion is simple: antibodies could appear after the asymptomatic coronavirus, but in such quantities as mine - only as an exception. Most likely, the "satellite V" played a role.

If I have already suffered coronavirus, and the vaccine is just beginning its effect, then the level of antibodies should grow. Moreover, ahead, approximately December 27, is the second dose.
