Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the guarantee of inviolability for former presidents of the country. It was published on the portal of legal information.

According to the law, the former president cannot be brought to criminal or administrative liability, and also detained, arrested, searched, interrogation or personal search. His inviolability applies to the residential and office premises occupied by him, vehicles, means of communication, his documents, baggage and correspondence belonging to him.

The law changes the order of deprivation of the inviolability of the ex-president. Now, for this, the State Duma must make charges of a Stateismman or the commission of a different serious crime, and compliance with the procedure for the charges must confirm the Supreme and Constitutional Courts. After the decision is made by the Federation Council.
