Catering establishments in St. Petersburg will be able to open winter terraces from December 25 to January 10. This is provided for by the decree of the governor of the city Alexander Beglov, Fontanka writes.
It will be possible to place outdoor furniture, including umbrellas, on the winter terraces. The authorities will coordinate the opening of such terraces in a simplified manner. At the same time, the area of the terrace should not exceed the area of the establishment itself.

From December 25 to January 10, entrepreneurs will be able to create "winter cafes", coordinating them with the city in a simplified manner. A similar mechanism operated this year for summer verandas. The set of outdoor furniture has not changed - in fact, the business will only be able to arrange tables, chairs, benches and umbrellas, which should be the only protection from the weather.
- In early December, the authorities of St. Petersburg announced that due to the coronavirus, catering establishments would be prohibited from working from December 30 to January 3, and from December 25 to 29 and from January 4 to 10 they would have to close at 19:00.
