We are talking with Julia Galyamina. She received two years conditionally for protests against “zeroing”, but is still going to fight the Kremlin

On December 23, the Tver court of Moscow found the municipal deputy Julia Galyamin guilty under the article on repeated violation of the rules of rallies and pickets - that is, according to the Dadinsky article. Galyamin was sentenced to two years conditionally with a two -year trial period.

The prosecutor's office demanded three years in a general regime colony. And on the eve of the announcement of the sentence, Galyamin herself believed that - most likely - she would be awarded a real prison term.

A criminal case against the deputy was opened in July 2020. The court considered that the municipal deputy organized a mass action “in order to change the constitutional system” and did not agree on it. According to the court, the protesters "called for illegal actions, created a threat to the health of citizens, interfered with pedestrians and transport."

We are talking about a rally on Pushkinskaya Square , which took place on July 15 against amendments to the Constitution. Galyamin was one of the organizers of the action, during which 147 people were detained (including Galyamin itself).

In the summer, politics was fined for a picket in support of the municipal deputy and journalist Ilya Azar. In 2020, two court decisions on the fines that were appointed to her for protest promotions that last in the summer of 2019 also entered into force.

Speaking with the last word in court, Galyamin said that 2021 (when the elections to the State Duma will be held) - "this is a real chance to turn the situation." She urged to participate in the elections massively, to create a general citizenship project to observe them and support candidates. Since 2014, the Local Self -Government project has been working, which helps activists become local deputies.
