In Moscow, the trial of the police in the Golunov case began. Now we know where in more detail how the "Medusa" specialist was delayed and beat - and how exactly drugs threw him

On Thursday, December 24, the Moscow City Court finally began to consider on the merits the case against operatives of the Internal Affairs Directorate in the Western Administrative District of the capital, who illegally detained the Medusa specialist Ivan Golunov - and threw him drugs. The defendants in the Golunov case-Igor Lyakhovets, Akbar Sergaliev, Roman Feofanov, Denis Konovalov and Maxim Umetbaev-are accused of several articles: of excess of official powers in the organized group, falsify the results of operational-search measures and illegal drug trafficking. The prosecutor read the indictment from which many details of the operatives were clarified; The Special Corps of Medusa Anastasia Yakureva talks about this court hearing.

The meeting in the case of Ivan Golunov is scheduled in the Moscow City Court at 11 in the morning and as usual is delayed. About two dozen journalists are waiting for the beginning, but they are not particularly counting on success: the court was already transferred twice because of the lawyers of the former head of the department for the circulation of drugs of the Internal Affairs Directorate in the Western Administrative District (CJSC) Igor Lyakhovts. His defender Alexei Kovrizhkin was deprived of a lawyer status due to accusations of provocation of investigators, and Lyakhovets did not conclude an agreement with the new lawyer.

Hearing begins at the beginning of the first. In the glass "Aquarium" for the accused is Roman Feofanov, Akbar Sergaliev, Maxim Umetbaev and their former chief Igor Lyakhovets. He sits the closest to the glass, so he is clearly visible: in a pre -trial detention center he grew his hair and became like the hero of the film “Three Musketeers”.

Another of his former subordinate Denis Konovalov - also a defendant of the case - sits in the hall on the bench. He pleaded guilty and testified to Lyakhovtsa, the court released him under house arrest.

The Medusa specialist Ivan Golunov is separated from the listeners from the audience in green uniforms; The journalist is a bulky body armor protruding from under a blue sweater.

Judge Sergey Gruzdev enters the hall. He is young, with a fashionable haircut; There are already several high -profile affairs - for example, the case of former General Alexander Drymanov and several other employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia, who received a bribe from the “thief in law” by Zakhary Kalashov after a shooting at the Elements restaurant. Gruzdev sentenced Drymanov to 12 years of strict regime.

It seems that Gruzdev is annoyed by the constant transfer of hearings, but behaves emphasized politely and warning. He announces Lyakhovtsu that he will be defended by a lawyer for their intended purpose - Shamil Feizrahmanov. Lyakhovets does not mind, but asks for another defender, his own wife Marina Lyakhovets. She, too, in the hall - a low blond woman, all the time catches her husband's gaze. As it recently turned out from the case file, Marina Lyakhovets paid lawyers to other defendants and offered money to their relatives, including Denis Konovalov’s wife, so that he would do what [he] should be done. If the court allows Marina Lyakhovets to be a her husband’s defender, she will be able to come to him on dates in a pre -trial detention center. But Gruzdev refuses to Lyakhovtsa in his petition.

“After all, you were not deprived of the opportunity to communicate with your spouse, she may be given dumps in jail, no one canceled telephone conversations either,” Judge Lyakhovtsa consoles.

- There is a certain problem: I am kept in Lefortovo, there are special conditions , we have no dates with relatives since March, and a phone call even after permission - this is a month in line - Lyakhovets immediately begins to complain.

“I would love to help you with the solution of these issues, but these are not my functions,” Gruzdev stops him and asks the prosecutor to read out the indictment.

The prosecutor Tatyana Parshintseva goes to the department and begins to read. She reads for more than an hour: the indictment for the first time set out in detail all the events on June 6, 2019, when Golunova was detained by operatives of the Internal Affairs Directorate in CJSC, as well as the previous months during which this detention was prepared.

As follows from the indictment, in March 2019, while in the territory of the Moscow pre -trial detention center No. 3, Lyakhovets “misled” the senior operative of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) Vladimir Matveev, who "was interested in raising work indicators." Lyakhovets provided Matveev “obviously false information” that “a certain Ivan” was distributing drugs in the mix and Magadan nightclubs on Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow; At the same time, Lakhovets had in mind the journalist Medusa Golunov. At that time, Lyakhovts had his phone number, but there were no other necessary data.

Matveev, who “believed the Lyakhovts”, issued this information and sent to Lyakhovts himself to the ATC in a CJSC in the form of an “initiative message”. Lyakhovets received this message and began an operational check on it.

In April, Lyakhovets sent a falsified request to Yandex.Taxi by mail: the request contained inaccurate information about a certain crime in connection with which he was sent. With the help of Yandex, Lyakhovets found out where Golunov lives. From June 3 to 6, the operatives of Konovalov, Sergaliev and Theophanes watched Kolunov. Golunov did not do anything illegal, nevertheless, on June 6, Lyakhovets gave Konovalov, Sergaliev, Umetbaev and Feofanov an instruction to detain Golunov, throw him drugs and then remove them during a personal search. And then examine his apartment, putting the scales and drugs there, and then remove them too.

Fulfilling these instructions, on the same day, the police arrived in an official car to the house on Petrovsky Boulevard, where Golunov was located. They had an “illegally acquired narcotic agent-a substance containing a derivative of the N-methyl-ephedron, with a total weighing of 7.18 g, packed in five bundles wrapped in an island of yellow-green color in a polymer bag.”

Sergaliev was driving and waited in the car; Konovalov and Feofanov detained Golunov, handcuffed him, after which Konovalov put drugs in Golunov’s backpack.

The Lyakhovets himself came to the place of detention, and Golunov was taken to the ATC in the CJSC, not allowing him to contact either relatives or lawyers. In the Feofanov branch, he drew up a protocol for the seizure of drugs from Golunov’s personal belongings in the presence of the witnesses Kuznetsov and Bokarev, who were actually acquaintances of the operatives.

After that, Lyakhovets wrote a report on the seizure of drugs on behalf of Sergaliev, and this report then became the basis for initiating a criminal case.

From 15 to 18 hours of the same day, Golunov continued to be in the Internal Affairs Directorate. At this time, Umetbaev, despite the fact that the journalist was handcuffs and could not resist, hit him at least once with his fist in the face.

Later, Sergaliev and Feofanov took Golunov for a medical examination to the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Narcology. In the office, Feofanov “applied a suffocating reception to Golunov,” and Sergaliev held Golunov by the hands at that time.

On the landing, Sergaliev hit at least twice a fist on the arm of Golunov, and Theophanov at least times; Golunov was clutched at the railing of the stairs. After that, they took his hands and feet and dragged him on the stairs, "causing Golunov bodily harm."

The prosecutor monotonously lists them: “bodily injuries in the form of bruises and abrasions of the posterior surface of the chest on the left along the shoulder line, bruising of the left side surface of the neck, multiple abrasions of the front surface of the chest on the left, the hematoma of the occipital region on the left, the hematoma of the left orbital region, the hematomas of the middle medium Thirds of the right thigh that did not harm health. ”

From eight to nine in the evening of Konovalov, Sergaliev, Umetbaev and Feofanov came to Kolunov home, taking 5.42 grams of cocaine packaged in three polymer packets, and 0.37 grams of the N-methyl-adhesive derived, as well as electronic scales with drug traces. In the apartment, Konovalov put all this in the room on the closet, while Umetbaev, Theophanov and Sergaliev held Golunov and distracted the witnesses - and then the scales and drugs were seized in the presence of witnesses. Then, the investigator of the Investigative Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate in CJSC, “conscientiously mistaken”, issued a decree on the initiation of a criminal case against Golunov - on an attempt on an illegal sale of drugs in a large amount (in the case of a cocaine, five grams is a large size).

“The indicated actions of the Lyakhovts and his accomplices entailed a violation of the interests of society and the state, expressed in the blow of the authority of state power, discrediting the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, creating a negative public opinion about police officers,” concludes the prosecutor and begins to read everything again, already to substantiate the accusations on another article-on the falsification of the results of operational-search activities. But the judge asks her not to read the same thing several times, and she is limited to listing the articles of the prosecution.

At the same time, the main motive of the Lyakhovts, as follows from the conclusion, is “an interest in promoting the service, obtaining awards and material incentives, increasing the indicators of identified and disclosed crimes.”

While the prosecutor reads, the Lyakhovets laughs a lot and, in general, looks rather cheerful. The rest of the accused are much more gloomy.

After the prosecutor finishes read, Judge Gruzdev asks the accused to "express his attitude to the indictment."

Lyakhovets states that he does not understand what and why he is accused. He does not plead guilty. “The accusation consists simply of the transfer of events, these are simply conclusions from the context, from circumstances, they do not give reason to blame us for such heavy compositions,” says Lyakhovets. - There is no objective evidence. Only the moment of applying the slap in the face ( apparently, I mean the blow of Umetbaev with a fist in the face of Golunov - approx. Medusa ), I was not present there, but I think that the reason was his [Golunov] causing behavior. The accusation is just a flight of fantasy. ”

The judge stops him and says that the assessment of evidence is in another stage of the court session.

Sergaliev is expressed by the next: he also does not agree with the accusation and does not admit his guilt: “I did not enter into any criminal group, I came to serve the police, I signed the contract - so I joined the organized crime group [organized criminal group]? I just took part in the ORM [operational-search events]. I don’t understand at all what the wording means: Konovalov put it, and we imitated legal actions. Maybe we have not imitated? My presence here is illegal - just like the initiation of a case against me. ”

Feofanov also does not admit guilt, but does not go into the explanation. Umetbaev, from the transferred in the prosecution, agrees to recognize only the “slap in the face”.

The only one who fully pleads guilty is still Denis Konovalov.

The prosecutor asks to start the interrogation of Ivan Golunov, but Sergaliev objects and asks first to explore the video, "so that the victim refreshes the memory." However, at the request of the prosecutor, the judge still decides to start with the interrogation of Golunov. The lawyer of the Human Rights Cards Sergey Badamshin, representing the interests of Golunov, asks to appoint an interrogation the next day - to proceed with him in the morning and meet one day, without large breaks. “I agree with you,” the judge nods.

The new meeting at which the interrogation of Ivan Golunov will be held, scheduled for January 12, 2021.
