In the dissertation of the former head physician of the Omsk hospital where Navalny was treated, about 10% of incorrect borrowings were found

The Dissernet project found incorrect borrowings in the dissertation of the Omsk Minister of Health, the former chief physician of Omsk Hospital No. 1, Alexander Murakhovsky.

This drew the attention of the regional headquarters of politician Alexei Navalny. The headquarters are sure that Murakhovsky's dissertation contains "a huge amount of plagiarism."

In a work of 202 pages, Dissernet found 13 borrowings (about 7.5%). The project concluded that "large-scale borrowing has not yet been detected."

• Murakhovsky headed the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region in November 2020. In August 2020, Alexei Navalny got into the Omsk emergency hospital, which he was in charge of at that time (he became ill on the Tomsk-Moscow plane).
• From Omsk, Navalny was taken to a Berlin clinic for treatment, which concluded that the politician had been poisoned with a Novichok-class substance. Omsk doctors said that no poisonous substances were found in Navalny's body.
