In the Pskov region, the case against an environmental activist who published photographs of picketers was dropped

The Pechora District Court, with a permanent presence in Palkino, Pskov Region, dismissed the case of environmental activist Oksana Gromova, initiated because of the publication of photos from the picket on VKontakte. This is reported by "7 × 7".

The case was dismissed for lack of an event of wrongdoing.

Gromova published photos of pensioners standing in a picket against the construction of a landfill in the group “Pskov region is not a garbage dump!” on VKontakte, where actions against the landfill are organized. The activist claims that she had previously agreed with the picketers, but at the end of November, the district police officer told Gromova that the pensioners had testified against her - allegedly they did not agree to the publication of the picture and did not know what it was for. Because of this, a protocol was drawn up against Gromova on organizing an uncoordinated action (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

• Residents of the Pskov region oppose the plans of the regional administration to place a large landfill on the territory of the Palkinsky district. Activists fear that the landfill will be dangerous for the local environment and may adversely affect the health of the locals, especially those who live in the village of Isaino, 500 meters from the proposed complex.
