Podolsky City Court sentenced the former head of the Serpukhov district of the Moscow Region Alexander Shestun to 15 years in a maximum security colony. The court also obliged the six to pay 49 million rubles and imposed on it to ban administrative positions for eight years, reports the telegram channel Sota.Vision.

The former official was found guilty under Articles 290, 159, 174, 289 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe, fraud, money laundering, illegal participation in entrepreneurship). Initially, the prosecutor’s office asked the court to appoint a six 20 years in prison with a fine of 50 million rubles, as well as recover 64 million rubles from it. Shestun himself did not plead guilty.
