The FSB reported on the prevention of a terrorist attack in Dagestan

In Dagestan, four members of the Islamic State terrorist organization, which were preparing a terrorist attack in Russia, were detained in Russia. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the Center for Public Relations (COOs) of the FSB.

According to special services, the detainees planned to arrange an explosion from one of the administrative buildings, and then attack employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In the cache at the detainees, as well as at their place of residence, FSB officers found firearms and cold weapons, a large number of ammunition and an explosive device. In addition, in their mobile phones a correspondence was discovered with the coordinator, which is located abroad.

On this fact, a criminal case on participation in a terrorist organization (part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) is opened. The issue of additional qualifications of the criminal activity of the detainees under Article 30 and Article 205 of the Criminal Code (preparation for a terrorist act as part of a group of persons) is also being resolved.
