Investigators confronted Lyubov Sobol, an employee of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), and Galina Subbotina, the mother-in-law of FSB officer Konstantin Kudryavtsev, the alleged accomplice in the poisoning of Alexei Navalny.
The confrontation was held on the evening of December 25, Marina Litvinovich, a member of the Public Monitoring Commission, said on Facebook.
Yesterday, the whole day for almost 16 hours, investigative actions were carried out with her (Sobol). She said that confrontations were held with her: one of them was with the mother-in-law of that same Kudryavtsev, and this confrontation took place at ten in the evening. She and her lawyer objected to the confrontation at such a late time, but they were refused.
Marina Litvinovich said that after five interrogations in a row, Sobol was transferred to the status of a suspect in illegal entry into a dwelling with a threat of violence.
Around 1:00 am on December 26, Sobol was brought to the temporary detention center on Petrovka in Moscow, where he was placed in a triple cell. According to Sobol, who Litvinovich cited, the detention center resembles "a children's camp of the eighties." Sobol's lawyer Vladimir Voronin said that her "cell is very small, there is nowhere to step."
In the criminal case of illegal entry into the dwelling, through which Sobol passes, eight examinations were appointed, including a DNA examination, for which they took the protective mask that she wore from the FBK employee, Litvinovich said. Lyubov Sobol was detained on December 25 after a search of her apartment. The criminal case was opened after the statement of Galina Subbotina after, according to the investigation, Sobol and her associates "repeatedly tried to enter the apartment of an elderly woman." Sobol herself said that she came to the apartment of Konstantin Kudryavtsev, rang the doorbell, but they did not open it, after which she managed to enter the neighboring apartment. At the same time, Alexei Navalny said that Subbotina herself went to Sobol from the apartment.
