Russian figure skater Anna Shcherbakova won the gold medal at the Russian Figure Skating Championships held in Chelyabinsk.
Shcherbakova was leading the championship after the short program. On December 26, she received 183.79 points for her free skate, scoring 264.10 points in total for the two programs.
Shcherbakova's results in the free program and in the total number of skates were higher than world records , but the figure skater's record will not be counted, since the Russian championship was not held under the auspices of the International Skating Union.
Second place went to Kamila Valieva, who also exceeded world records in both the free program (174.02) and the total points scored (254.01). Trusova (246.37), who surpassed the world record in the free program (170.61), rounded out the top three.
