According to Baza, the 19-year-old corporal named Komarov served the BMD-4 combat landing vehicle when two shots from an automatic gun occurred. The Pskov Province claims that this happened when the military in the garage discharged the guns after the exercises. REN TV channel said that the corporal decided to inspect and test BMD-4 without permission, after which he accidentally shot.

The blank hit the roof of the shopping center, broke it off and fell on the second floor in the Children's World store. Where the second shell went is unknown. After the incident from the FJord Plaza shopping center, about 300 people were evacuated, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Russian Guard and the military prosecutor's office arrived at the place.

The command of the Pskov garrison told TASS that on December 24, when servicing equipment and weapons in the combat vehicle park, an involuntary shot from a 30-mm gun occurred.

A metal blank without an explosive at the end of the trajectory fell on the outskirts of the city on a non -residential building. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
