More than a million Russian pensioners were included in the bailiffs’ database due to credit debts, TASS reports citing data from the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP).
As of November 1, bailiffs had 7.8 million enforcement proceedings to collect debts in favor of credit institutions.
1.3 million enforcement proceedings concern debtors of retirement age. They account for 17% or every sixth unfinished enforcement proceedings for debt collection.
Economists at the Higher School of Economics have calculated that due to the crisis caused by the pandemic, 6.1% of working middle class people in Russia have moved into the category of poor.
