The government extended the programs of preferential leasing and car loan until 2023

The Cabinet of Ministers will extend the validity of the programs of preferential leasing and car loan until the end of 2023. This was stated by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on December 28 at a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers.

"The government extends the validity of programs on preferential leasing and car loans until the end of 2023," Mishustin said, recalling that these programs "apply to family cars, low -power trucks and tractors produced or assembled in Russia," TASS reports.

"In the budget for 2021, funds are provided for banks and leasing organizations to compensate for falling income, only more than 12.5 billion rubles," the head of government added. According to Mishustin, thanks to these measures, citizens and business will be easier to buy vehicles.

Recall that the programs of the preferential car loan "First car" and "Family car", as well as the programs of preferential leasing "Russian tractor" and "their business" were launched to maintain demand in the car market earlier. Also now there is a new “Available lease” program, which is designed to stimulate the development of car sharing services.

Within the framework of the programs of preferential lending "First car" and "Family car", banks since 2015 provide a discount to pay for the initial contribution on a loan in the amount of 10% of the cost of the car (25% for residents of the Far East). In 2019, 113.3 thousand cars were bought for preferential programs. Now families can get a discount with at least one child, employees of medical facilities, as well as who have handed over the old car according to the Trad-In-in scheme. The maximum cost of a car that can be taken on credit was increased to 1.5 million rubles this summer.

According to the results of 2020, the total amount of state support for the car market should amount to 22.5 billion rubles, taking into account funds allocated in addition to the year. In October, it was reported that in 2021 the government plans to allocate 14.9 billion rubles to support the demand for the products of the car industry: this amount was laid in the budget entered in the State Duma for the next year. However, in the end, it was reduced to 12.5 billion rubles.
