All regions of Russia were announced on December 31 as a day off after the recommendation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the end of last week, the last day of the year was planned to be left workers in the Krasnodar Territory, North Ossetia and Chechnya, but by Monday they changed their minds.

According to the decision of the governor of the Kuban, Veniamin Kondratyev, on December 31, it should be a weekend day while saving salaries for employees of the regional administration and executive authorities (without saving salaries). The rest is only recommended to release employees on this day, writes “Notepad” with reference to a copy of the document.

On December 23, Putin supported the proposal of United Russia Sergei Nevorov to make a day off throughout the country on December 31, recognizing that “very peculiar work” is organized on this day. The president recommended that the governors announce the last day of the year a weekend and noted that next year this must be fixed by law. After his words, the heads of regions, which until then hesitated or did not want to enter an additional day of rest, changed their minds.
