The Petrogradsky District Court of St. Petersburg awarded compensation of 65 thousand rubles to Alexander Gusakov, a participant in a rally against pension reform, for illegal arrest for 7 days. in his telegram channel This was reported by the "Apology of Protest".

The court ordered the Ministry of Internal Affairs to pay Gusakov 15,000 rubles as compensation for non-pecuniary damage, and the Ministry of Finance - another 50,000 rubles. In addition, the Ministry of Finance will have to pay compensation to the activist for property damage for the period of forced absence from work. Both departments must also pay the state duty.

Alexander Gusakov was detained at a rally against the pension reform, which was held in St. Petersburg on September 9, 2018. He was found guilty of violating the rules for participating in public rallies that interfered with pedestrians and vehicles (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), and was arrested for 7 days.

After serving the arrest, this decision was declared invalid. After some time, the Nevsky District Court reviewed the case of Gusakov, again found him guilty, again appointed 7 days of arrest and set off the early served term. On the second appeal, heard in the city court, the case was again returned to the district court. In the end, the case was finally closed .
