The Serpukhov City Court extended the measure of restraint to the journalist of Rosotravy, Alexander Dorogov, who is accused under the article on extortion (paragraph “b” of part 3 of article 163 of the Criminal Code). This was reported in a direct broadcast by the Telegram channel "The Strength of Movement".
The court decided to extend the period of detention until January 29, 2021.
In November, Dorogov announced pressure from the administration of the pre -trial detention center. In the personal file of the prisoner, there was a record that he was "prone to suicide." Dorogov also emphasized that the complaints of the journalist in the PMC are not registered in the Journal of the pre -trial detention center, and the FSIN employees themselves do not send these complaints to the addressees.
On October 15, the court changed the journalist a measure of restraint from home arrest for guard. Protection at the meeting stated that representatives of the prosecutor's office have a personal interest in the case, so they insist on sending Dorogov to the pre -trial detention center.
On August 18, it became known that the arrested journalist Alexander Dorogov was transferred from the IVS to Lobna to the SIZO-7, which is located in Yegoryevsk near Moscow. Prior to this, about 10 days the journalist’s whereabouts were unknown to the relatives or the lawyers of Dorogov. Dorogov’s lawyer reported that his client was beaten in the investigative insulator and that employees of the pre -trial detention center exerted pressure. Then Dorogov was transferred to the SIZO-5 Kashira.
Journalists of the publication "Ros -Pusten" Yana Katelevsky and Alexander Dorogov were detained in late July. They are accused of extortion: the investigation believes that journalists demanded 1.3 million rubles from an traffic police officer for refusing to publish materials about him. The Tver District Court of Moscow arrested Dorogov in absentia a day before the detention. At the same time, the journalist’s meeting was not informed, as well as the fact that a criminal case was opened against him. Journalists themselves consider this criminal case to be ordered and fabricated against them because of their professional activities and investigations, which they published, including on their YouTube channel.
