Poll: 53% of parents announced an unprecedented lag in schoolchildren

More than half of the parents (53%) announced the unprecedented lag of students in the educational program, writes RBC with reference to the study of the Action Education Service group. More than 3 thousand people participated in the survey - about 1.6 thousand directors of schools and their deputies and 1.4 thousand parents of 65 Russian regions. The leadership of schools with parents did not agree.

Almost half - 47% - the respondents of the directors said that this year the mentality of the schoolchildren is minimal, and every fifth (22%) claims that his students are not behind the program at all. Among the parents participating in the study, only 29%hope for a minimal decrease in educational results in children.

About 40% of respondents among the heads of educational institutions stated that a slight decrease in the results occurs after summer holidays annually. Most parents believe that the reason for the lag of their children could be distance learning in the spring, which provoked a failure in knowledge. In particular, every fifth parent among the problems called teachers to conduct classes on the remote (20%).

In the fall, according to the survey, most schools did not go to distance learning, despite the informal second wave of the Pandemia of Coronavirus. The quarantine was sent mainly by educational institutions in megacities. In 20.4% of schools, only classes were transferred to the remotes, in which someone was infected with coronavirus. About 7% of the institutions were closed completely on quarantine.

• The Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov believes that in the whole country the quality of remote learning at universities is worse than the quality of full -time: "Yes, the quality of remote education differs from the quality of full -time education, if it is operated on in large numbers, because it is generally worse. Because it is one thing when we communicate with the live, and another thing, when on TV. But this is forced need."
• In the spring, schoolchildren were transferred to a remotes due to a deterioration in the situation with the Covid-19. Then experts noted dysfunctional mental reactions in most students (83.8%). The schoolchildren themselves most often complained of redness and fatigue of the eyes (18.1 and 44.9%), as well as general fatigue during prolonged work at a computer or other device.
