The Ministry of Justice recognized the Center "Violence.no" in the agent

The Ministry of Justice of Russia recognized the Violence.net Center with a foreign agent, which helps victims of domestic violence. This was announced on the page on Facebook by the director of the center Anna Rivina. "I will say this: 95% flew to us for the bill against violence, and 5% for the propaganda of LGBT," she wrote.

Employees of the crisis center learned about checking the Ministry of Justice in mid -September. It turned out that a certain Trubetskoy A. A. complained about them, but the essence of his claims was not disclosed. According to another version, the center began to be checked due to the fact that its representatives on their own initiative did not apply for inclusion in the register of foreign agents.

Anna Rivina claims that her organization does not meet the criteria for inclusion in such a list, since the Center for Violence.NU does not engage in political activities, but issues of social protection of citizens, writes New Gazeta . But the authorities have a different opinion.

Earlier, the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs made a decision to expel the human rights activist and US citizen Vanessa Kogan within a two -week period. In Russia, she has been living for eleven years, married to a citizen of the Russian Federation, two of their children were born here. Vanessa Kogan headed the NCO "Legal Initiative", included in the register of foreign agents in 2019. Like the Center for Violence.net, the organization deals with the problems of domestic violence, the protection of the rights of women and children, and also helps victims of torture and armed conflicts. On December 11, the ECHR issued an urgent decision to suspend the expulsion of a human rights activist before considering in Russian courts a complaint about canceling a residence permit.

On December 29, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained Vanessa Kogan in Moscow and delivered from home to the police department, Ksenia Babich told Mediazone the press secretary of the legal initiative. They are going to draw up a protocol under an article on violation of the rules of the stay of foreigners in Russia (Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), to consider it Koptevsky District Court.
