According to the agency, the federal service is going to initiate administrative cases under the article on violation of the law on foreign agents (Article 19.34.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
On December 29, the RKN published news on its website that “representatives of media-foreign agents” were summoned to draw up protocols, but without specifying which media. The next day, the press service of the RKN confirmed to Interfax that invitations to draw up protocols had been sent to Radio Liberty.
The head of the Russian service of Radio Liberty told the agency that he had indeed received notifications from the RKN.
